Los <strong>medios de comunicaci\u00f3n<\/strong> abordan el entorno profesional desde el punto de vista de la <strong>calidad de vida<\/strong> y del <strong>bienestar<\/strong>. LifeSteps website, a quarterly health information newsletter and a health care book are sent to each of the households along with access to a telephonic audiotape library.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Program Goals: <\/em><\/strong>LifeSteps is designed to help individuals to:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify controllable health risks.<\/li>\n<li>Develop plans to reduce those risks.<\/li>\n<li>Modify lifestyles\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Program Components:<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Health fairs and screenings.<\/li>\n<li>Quarterly publications.<\/li>\n<li>A website (www.lifesteps.com).<\/li>\n<li>Wellness support classes.\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Key findings: <\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>To date, more than 1 million health risk appraisals have been processed, 370 000 people have participated, and 185 000 health risks have been reduced.<\/li>\n<li>In the intensive onsite UAW-GM LifeSteps program, the low-risk population (0-2 risks) has grown by 8.1 percent since the program\u2019s inception in 1996 and more than 75 percent of active employees have participated.<\/li>\n<li>The UAW-GM LifeSteps program has published more articles than any other employer-sponsored wellness program in America. There have been 18 peer-reviewed journal articles published that highlight the link between health care costs and modifiable health risks.\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Strategies\/advantages:<\/em><\/strong> Lifesteps has a two-pronged approach.
